Tapestry PRM

Remote access preview

Preview · Free until 31 December 2026

Remote access lets Claude and ChatGPT use your Tapestry from your phone, at work or anywhere else. While the preview lasts, it comes free with every Tapestry account, until 31 December 2026.

What it does

Tapestry keeps your relationship memory on your main computer, the one where you connect your sources. Assistants on that computer can already read it if you let them. Remote access lets Claude and ChatGPT reach it from anywhere else too: on claude.ai, in the Claude app on your phone, or in ChatGPT in a web browser.

  • Your main computer gets its own address on the internet, through Tapestry’s relay.
  • You approve each assistant on your main computer, by typing the code it shows you and confirming with Touch ID or your password. Approve only a request you started yourself.
  • Assistants can look things up, but can’t send, change or delete anything. The Ask page lists every read under Recent assistant access.
  • Assistants can reach your main computer only while it’s on, awake and online.

What the preview means

  • Every Tapestry account has remote access while the preview lasts, until 31 December 2026, unless we end the preview or your place in it sooner.
  • It’s free while the preview lasts, and it asks for no payment details. Remote access is planned as a paid feature after the preview, at a price we haven’t set.
  • When your place ends, remote access pauses and we email you. Your main computer’s address is kept, paused, for up to 90 days, and we email you again 14 days before it’s removed. If remote access comes back within that time, you keep the address. Within 30 days, assistants reconnect on their own; after that, you approve each one again.
  • It’s a preview, so some things may not work yet. Tell us what you find.

What you need

  • The Tapestry beta on your main computer, with macOS 13 or later.
  • A free Tapestry account. Create one in Tapestry, under Settings → Account.
  • Claude or ChatGPT, on a plan that lets you add a custom connector. ChatGPT works in a web browser.

How to start

On your main computer, sign in to your Tapestry account, open Ask and turn on remote access. If Tapestry says your account isn’t in the preview, email hello@tapestryprm.com from the address you use for your account.

Your data

  • Your Tapestry stays on your main computer. The relay passes each assistant’s connection through end-to-end encrypted, so it can’t read what an assistant asks or what Tapestry answers, and unless you turn on Always-on, our servers store none of it.
  • What an assistant reads goes to its provider, Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT, just as it does on your main computer. That can include text from your Gmail, such as subjects and short previews, and your notes.
  • Your Tapestry account gains one entry for your main computer: a random address name, its platform, when it was added and last seen, the Tapestry version it ran, and the public details that identify it to our relay and to Let’s Encrypt. No device name, and nothing from your Tapestry.
  • The address name is public, like every web address: it’s in DNS and in public certificate logs. It’s random and says nothing about you.

Our privacy notice covers remote access in full, and our terms cover the preview.

Turning it off

On the Ask page, turn remote access off to pause it, or remove it to delete your main computer’s entry and address. Signing out of your account on that computer, or deleting your account, removes it too.
